History of Mountain

History Phnom Kulen has major symbolic importance for Cambodia as the birthplace of the ancient Khmer Empire, for it was at Phnom Kulen that King Jayavarman II proclaimed independence from Java in 804 CE. Jayavarman II who is initiated the Devaraja cult of the king, it's meaning that " to declare himself to equal the same value of the god." It has called the ancient city of the Khmer empire (Mahendraparvata (Khmer: មហេន្ទ្របវ៌ត)).

Tour Details

Leave your hotel at 7:30 am to Drive by Convenient Car for around 1 hour directly to the Cliff of the mountain which was a very nice spot to view on top of the mount. 1000 linga in the riverbed was a super holy water of religion(Hinduism) in the 9 century. The holy place and the start of the Khmer empire! Continue to see the 16th reclining Buddha that was fascinated with a single stone. Time relaxing in the coldest waterfall and having here.
